Trench Shoring

Protect your crews and maintain safe, efficient excavations with our comprehensive range of trench shoring solutions. From steel trench boxes and aluminum Build-A-Box systems to hydraulic shoring, slide rail systems, and road plates, we provide proven products designed to meet the demands of utility, civil, and construction projects of all sizes.

Slide Rail Systems

Slide Rail Systems are advanced excavation support solutions designed to provide safe, efficient shoring for deep excavations, utility installations, tanks, vaults, pump stations, and other critical underground infrastructure projects. Unlike traditional trench boxes or driven sheet piling, a slide rail system utilizes a combination of steel panels and vertical posts that are installed progressively as excavation occurs. This "dig and push" installation method helps maintain ground stability throughout the excavation process while minimizing over-excavation and reducing the need for larger, specialized equipment.

Engineered for exceptional versatility, Slide Rail Systems can be configured as standard four-sided pits, large unobstructed ClearSpan™ excavations, Multi-Bay™ systems for long utility runs, or specialized installations around existing underground infrastructure. By using modular components, contractors can create custom excavation support systems tailored to project requirements while maintaining safe working conditions in confined spaces, urban environments, roadways, rail corridors, and other challenging job sites. The system's flexibility, efficiency, and proven performance have made it a preferred shoring solution for municipalities, utility contractors, excavation specialists, and civil construction firms across North America.

Steel Trench Shoring

Steel Trench Shields are the industry standard for protecting workers in open trench excavations during utility installation, maintenance, and infrastructure construction projects. Engineered to provide a safe working environment in a wide range of soil conditions, trench shields are designed to resist soil pressures while allowing crews to work efficiently below grade. From shallow municipal repairs to deep sewer, watermain, stormwater, and utility installations, steel trench boxes remain one of the most reliable and cost-effective excavation safety solutions available.

Built from high-strength certified steel, modern trench shields are available in a variety of single-wall, double-wall, high-tensile, municipal, heavy-duty, and manhole configurations to suit virtually any excavation requirement. Features such as reinforced top rails, integrated spreader collars, lifting lugs, knife-edge cutting surfaces, and stackable designs help maximize productivity while delivering exceptional durability on demanding job sites. Available in both Imperial and Metric sizing, steel trench shields can be configured with spreaders, mud plates, arches, guardrails, and specialty accessories to create a complete trench safety system.

Hydraulic Shoring

Hydraulic Shoring Systems provide active trench protection by applying controlled pressure directly against trench walls to help prevent soil movement and cave-ins before they occur. Unlike trench shields that primarily protect workers from a collapse, hydraulic shoring stabilizes the excavation itself, making it an ideal solution for utility installations, repairs, and excavations in confined areas where trench boxes may not be practical. These lightweight aluminum systems can be installed and removed entirely from the surface, eliminating the need for workers to enter an unprotected trench during setup or removal.

Designed for maximum versatility, hydraulic shoring systems are available with standard and heavy-duty vertical shores, horizontal walers, hydraulic end shores, and hydraulic Alum-A-Shield® systems. Their modular design allows contractors and municipalities to safely address a wide range of trench depths and widths while adapting to changing field conditions. Hydraulic shores are particularly effective when working around existing utilities, structures, sidewalks, roadways, foundations, and other sensitive environments where excavation support and limited access are critical considerations.

Key Features

Actively applies hydraulic pressure to trench walls to prevent soil movement and cave-ins.
Installed and removed from the surface without requiring entry into an unshored excavation.
Lightweight aluminum construction simplifies transportation and handling.
Available in both standard-duty and heavy-duty configurations.
